If I remember correctly, they work under a "two strikes" policy that sees repeat offenders fired.

Something like 90% of the industry operates under this code (it doesn't cover Australia Post - although Aussie Post voluntary follow the code - or independents) and the chances are your walker is a subbie for either PMP or Salmat.

If you keep getting junk mail despite the no junk mail stickers, contact the Distribution Standards Board (1800 676 136) and your complaint will be taken seriously.

I've liaised with the DSB, PMP and Salmat in a professional capacity a number of times in the past and I know that they do take this seriously. They're not in the business of delivering product to people who don't want it. It's bad for their business, too.smphttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03052899993474154386noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6846297745517755566.post-81482378806778770572007-08-29T16:11:00.000+10:002007-08-29T16:11:00.000+10:00Thank-you, SMP!That is probably the most useful bi...Thank-you, SMP!
That is probably the most useful bit of information on this whole blog. :)The Girlhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02368935358031860432noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6846297745517755566.post-2730428269824769362007-08-30T10:29:00.000+10:002007-08-30T10:29:00.000+10:00No probs. Personally I love getting junk mail, but that's just me (sales and consumer electronic catalogue junky that I am).

Another little known fact is that, if you live in Victoria, it is actually an offence against the Environment Protection Act to deliver to no junk mail letterboxes. It's considered a form of littering and attracts a fine of I think up to about $1,000.smphttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03052899993474154386noreply@blogger.com
