A special kind of irony . . .

I am finding study quite stressful at the moment and with all of the gastric chaos that ensues when I get stressed, my doctor has put me on Somac (pantoprazole - proton-pump inhibitor). The irony is that we are currently studying gastro and proton-pump inhibitors. Which is contributing to my stress . . .

Thanks for the kind thoughts. I'm sure a couple of days of sleeping in will do me wonders.

Okay, I'm confused. How is a PPI going to help with a stress-related stomach upset?
Wouldn't a benzodiazepine be more effective :)

Thanks for the comment, anonymous.

I'm not particularly anxious, especially not enough to require benzodiazepine!

I'm also not going to post my entire medical history on here, suffice to say that I know why my stomach gets inflammed and how to slow it down to allow it to heal. Benzo does nothing for stomach inflammation. ;)
